What is a GUI Agent?

A GUI agent (Graphical User Interface agent) is an AI agent designed to interact with computer interfaces exactly as a human would, by clicking, typing, and navigating through various applications. Unlike traditional chatbots that primarily respond to text prompts, GUI agents are autonomous or semi-autonomous "co-workers" that execute multi-step tasks across desktop environments, web browsers, and file systems.
